Rachel & Noah’s Cannon Beach Engagement Session
Some places have a way of staying with you long after you leave, and Cannon Beach is now one of those places for me. Rachel and Noah brought me all the way from Helena, Montana to capture their engagement session on the Oregon Coast, and it was nothing short of incredible.
The trip had its challenges—before heading to the coast, I second-shot a wedding in Hayden, Idaho, where the cold and rain left me battling a rough few days of being sick. But despite it all, standing on the shores of Cannon Beach with Rachel and Noah made every mile worth it. Their vision for the session was so clear, and their love for each other made every moment feel effortless and natural.
With the ocean mist in the air, dramatic rock formations in the background, and soft, overcast light setting the perfect mood, this session was truly a dream. We laughed, explored, and embraced the beauty of the wild, rugged coastline. Their energy was contagious, and photographing them in such a breathtaking place felt like a reminder of why I love what I do.
Cannon Beach has now become one of my favorite places I’ve ever photographed, and I would love to go back. There’s something so magical about the way the waves meet the shore and how the light changes by the minute—it’s the kind of place that makes you want to return again and again.
